"SHINE YOUR EYES, LAGOS, 2013"
THEME:
DEVELOPING THE INTELLIGENCE CAPACITY OF THE
YOUTH FOR EFFECTIVE INFORMATION GATHERING
AND COMMUNITY POLICING AGAINST
INSURGENCY.
We wish to inform you that the Africa Youths
Initiative on Crime Prevention in partnership with
the Office of the Assistant Inspector General of
Police, Zone 2 Command, Onikan - Lagos will be
hosting the Lagos State Youth Leadership and
Crime Prevention on the 28th of November, 2013.
Over the years, our great State, Lagos and the
country (Nigeria) in general has experienced an
immense challenges in various crimes which
continues to threaten the lives and properties as
well the economy of the nation. This challenging
situation has therefore informed our decision to
fight crime through preventive approach by
putting up the above mentioned Summit.
The summit is designed to bring about 2000 Lagos
State Youths together for the purposes of
educating them on the dangers and repercussions
associated with getting involved in criminal
activities. Youths will have the opportunity to
interact and share ideas on crime related issues,
their roles, experiences, challenges as well as get
information on the best way of gathering
information in support of security intelligence in
Lagos State
In view of the above and in consideration of your
valid contributions to youth and community
development and crime prevention in Nigeria, we
humbly wish to invite you as a participant. We
wish to also acknowledge that your participation
and good advise will go a long way in re-
orientating our youths towards becoming change
agents, great community leaders and crime
prevention ambassadors which in turn will bring
peace and crime reduction in our community.
